It has never been easier to become a member of the Apperson PTA! You can now join online and receive a digital membership card immediately through National PTA’s new Totem option! Anyone can join – parents, grandparents, teachers, community members, and even students can be members of the PTA. When you join the Apperson PTA, you automatically become a member of the California State PTA and the National PTA, too! Annual membership dues are only $8 per person for the entire school year and include per capita dues to our council (Valley Hills Council), 31st District, California State PTA, and National PTA. The remaining portion stays in our unit. When you join, you will also have the option to make an additional donation that will go entirely to our PTA. Your donation may be tax deductible and will help fund the amazing programs and activities that we have planned for this year at Apperson! Thank you for supporting our school!
Make sure to add your student’s name(s) to your account so that their class receives credit during our Membership Drive!
Please join us on Monday, October 8 at 8:15 am as we update the Apperson Emergency Supply Bin! We need volunteers to help clean out the old expired items and restock with new supplies. This is a fun and simple way to help out our school! Please contact our Emergency Preparedness Chair, Elise, at email@example.com if you would like to help.
This year’s Read-a-thon will run from September 17 through September 28, 2018. This is a fun event to encourage kids to read and build literacy skills while also raising money for the Apperson PTA without any selling. 100% of the proceeds go straight to the PTA to support our mission of benefiting all students at Apperson.
Collect pledges, read, read, read and then turn in all donations by October 3 in order to be eligible for a prize! Good news! The PTA will be selling PIZZA by the slice and bottled WATER for $1 each at the Ice Cream Social this Friday night. Limited supply. Cash only.
Your free shave ice tickets will be sent home tomorrow – please check your child’s backpack or homework folder. A limited number of shave ice tickets will be sold at the event for $1. You MUST bring your ticket in order to receive your free shave ice!
There will also be music and free leis and stamps. We hope to see you and your family there!
